As founder and owner of Free Motion Dance Center in Boulder, Colorado, Lisa has fused her passion for music, dancing and awareness about the physical, emotional and transcendent benefits of dance with her experience in education, business, health promotion and counseling. Through her work with thousands of people from all walks of life, Lisa has learned that a lot of people feel self-conscious dancing. She felt the same way until she just started dancing! She has seen over and over again the subtle, yet powerful transformation that can and does occur when people simply start to move their bodies for fun! Lisa holds master’s degrees in both Health Education and Social Work, which help her blend traditional therapeutic healing modalities with movement-based, creative, expressive and primal arts. She loves creating exciting, transformative classes and environments where people of all ages can discover simple, fun ways to bring more play, ease and connection into their lives.
